My solution

I put in a SPR and got a resolution to my locking up at the startup in 8.0.2 (at least for today).

- Delete Cache.ndk
- rename bookmarks.nsf
- REM out line EXTMGR_ADDINS= in the notes.ini file

After I did that Notes has loaded fine.
